What this covers
Reconstruction is the rebuild stage that follows mitigation and cleaning. It replaces what was removed: framing, insulation, drywall, flooring, cabinets, trim, doors, windows and paint, matched to the rest of the home. On this service the rebuild can be done by the company that handled the mitigation or by another certified company you choose, and a rebuild at or above the state threshold is routed only to companies with a verified general contractor license.

- The drying or cleanup is finished and the company has told you the structure is ready.

Questions people ask
Do I have to use the same company that did the drying?
No. The company that stabilized the home can do the rebuild, or the rebuild can go to another certified company. Your job page shows the choice when the mitigation is marked complete.
What is the general contractor rule?
Each state sets a dollar threshold above which a rebuild needs a licensed general contractor. Jobs at or above it are routed only to certified companies with that license on file.
How do I know the work matches?
The scope lists each material. Ask to see samples of flooring, trim and paint before they are ordered, and walk the work with the company at the end.
