1. Who we are

Restoration.com.co Certified Operations (“we”, “the platform”) is an independent service. It is not an insurer, a public adjuster or a law firm, and it is not affiliated with any insurance carrier.

2. What the service does

• Gives general safety steps after water, fire, storm or mold damage.
• Connects a homeowner with one certified restoration company, which the homeowner agrees to by name.
• Shows the job schedule and a claim timeline on a private job page.
• Publishes a directory of certified companies, their verified credentials and reviews from real jobs.

3. What the service does not do

• The platform does not perform restoration work and does not contract with homeowners. Your work contract is between you and the company you hire.
• The platform never takes money from homeowners. The service is free for homeowners.
• We do not quote prices for restoration work. Pricing comes from the company.
• We give no coverage opinions. We do not say what an insurance policy covers, estimate a payout, negotiate with a carrier or advise on disputing a carrier decision. For those questions, read your policy and ask your carrier or a licensed professional.

4. How we are paid

Certified companies pay a fee when they accept a job request. Certified companies also pay an annual verification fee. Directory placement and the order in which companies are offered requests are never paid; they follow rotation order for the ZIP code.

5. Certification and its limits

We verify credentials and collect reviews from real jobs. We do not guarantee any company's workmanship. The criteria, renewal rules and complaint process are in the certification standard. A company owned by the operator of this site is labeled “Owned by the operator of this site”.

6. Safety information

Safety steps on this site and from the guide are general guidance, not professional advice for your specific home. When in doubt, leave the home and call 911.

7. The automated guide

The chat and text guide is an automated AI system and says so in its first message. You can ask for a person at any time by typing AGENT or by calling 844-7-RESTORE.

8. Your request and your consent

• Before a request is sent, we confirm your mobile number with a 6-digit code.
• We show you one company by name. Your details are shared with that company only after you agree to that company. If that company is no longer available, we ask again for the next company by name. Your agreement is never moved to another company.
• If no certified company can take your request and a partner network is available, we ask for separate consent before passing your request to it. Without that consent, the request is closed.
• You must give accurate information and have authority to request work at the address.

9. Reviews

Only the homeowner of a job that ran through the platform can review it, once. Reviews publish after a screening hold used only to check for abuse. A review may be removed only if it is not from the job's homeowner, contains profanity or personal data, or contains threats. A low rating is never a reason. Nothing is offered in return for a review.

12. Complaints

You can file a complaint about a certified company at any time.

13. Acceptable use

Do not submit false requests, impersonate another person, attempt to access another person's job page, interfere with the service, or use the directory to build marketing lists.

14. Companies

Certified companies are also bound by the Certified Operations Terms and Code of Conduct they sign when applying.

15. Changes

We may update these terms. The version identifier at the top of this page changes when the text changes.
