Privacy policy

This policy covers Restoration.com.co Certified Operations.

1. What we collect from homeowners

• Your name, mobile number and the address of the damaged home.
• Details of the loss: type, date, whether you own or rent, and what you tell the guide.
• Photos you upload to your job page.
• Optionally, your insurance carrier and claim number.
• A record of each consent you give: the exact wording, the company named, the time, your phone number, and for web requests your IP address and browser type.
• Messages between you and the guide, on web chat and by text.

We do not take payment from homeowners and do not collect payment details from them.

2. Who we share it with

• The one company you agree to by name. Your details are shared only with the company named in your consent, and only after that company accepts your request. Before it accepts, the company sees only the loss type, city, ZIP code and time.
• A partner-network provider, only with separate consent. If no certified company can take your request, we may ask whether to pass it to a restoration provider through a partner network. We do so only if you say yes to that separate question.
• Service providers that run the service for us, such as text messaging, hosting, file storage and the answering service, under instructions to use the data only for that purpose.
• Where the law requires it.

Your information is never sold as a list.

3. No advertising trackers

There are no advertising pixels on your job page, on the help page, or on any page after you enter your ZIP code.

4. How long we keep it

• Conversations and job requests: 3 years.
• Consent records: 5 years.
• Photos: deleted 1 year after the job closes.
• Conversations that never became a request: deleted after 90 days.

Where another record is deleted earlier, we keep only the minimum needed to prove a consent event. Records under a legal hold are kept until the hold ends.

5. Opting out of contact

Reply STOP to any text to end platform texts. We also pass a do-not-contact flag to the company on your job. See the SMS terms.

6. Reviews

A verified job review is published on the company's profile without your name. Do not put personal data in the review text.

7. Companies

For certified companies we publish only the facts listed in the certification standard. Insurance policy numbers, limits and credential documents are not published.

8. Security

Your job page is reached by a private link sent to your phone. Do not share it. Uploaded files are scanned and kept in private storage.

9. Get a copy of your data, or delete it

Use this form. We first confirm that you control the phone number. When we finish, we tell you which categories were deleted, which were kept, and why. Some records, such as consent and dispute records, must be kept for the periods above and are reduced to the minimum instead.
