What this covers
Interior painting covers walls, ceilings, trim, doors and built-ins. The work is mostly preparation: furniture moved and covered, nail holes and cracks filled, surfaces sanded and cleaned, edges taped or cut in by hand, and a primer where the surface needs it. Then two finish coats, rolled on walls and brushed on trim, and a cleanup that leaves the room ready to use.

Questions people ask
Do I need to move everything out?
Large furniture is moved to the center and covered; small items, pictures and anything breakable should be removed. The company tells you what it needs cleared.
What finish should I choose?
Flat or matte hides wall flaws and suits ceilings and low-traffic rooms. Eggshell and satin wipe clean and suit most walls. Semi-gloss is for trim, doors and bathrooms.
How long until the room is usable?
Water-based paint is dry to the touch within hours and rooms can be used the same day. Full hardness takes longer, so go gently on trim and doors for a couple of weeks.
