What this covers
Epoxy flooring is a two-part coating that bonds to prepared concrete and cures into a hard, seamless, chemical-resistant surface. The slab is moisture tested and diamond ground, cracks are repaired, and a primer, a pigmented coat with optional decorative flakes, and a clear topcoat are applied in sequence. Polyaspartic topcoats cure faster and resist yellowing. It suits garages, basements, workshops and laundry rooms.

Questions people ask
Why do some epoxy floors peel?
Almost always because the concrete was not ground or was coated with moisture rising through it. Preparation and testing prevent it.
Is it slippery?
A smooth gloss coat can be when wet. Flakes or an anti-slip additive in the topcoat give texture.
How thick is it?
Residential systems are a few coats thick. Thicker, trowel-applied systems exist for heavy industrial use.
