A clean two-car garage with a glossy slate-gray epoxy floor flecked with color, organized cabinets along the walls and the door open

Epoxy garage floors

A ground, repaired and coated concrete floor that resists oil, salt and tires.

What this covers

An epoxy floor is only as good as the concrete preparation. The slab is tested for moisture, diamond-ground to open the surface, and cracks and spalls are repaired. A primer, the colored base coat with decorative flakes if wanted, and a clear topcoat follow, each within its recoat window. Polyaspartic coatings cure faster than traditional epoxy and tolerate more temperature range.

Questions people ask

Why does moisture matter?

Moisture rising through the slab lifts coatings from underneath. A test before coating shows whether a moisture-blocking primer is needed.

Epoxy or polyaspartic?

Both are durable. Polyaspartic cures faster, resists yellowing and can be applied in cooler weather. The company recommends based on your garage and schedule.

Will hot tires peel it?

Not on a properly ground and primed floor with a quality topcoat. Peeling almost always traces to skipped preparation.
