A traditional kitchen with polished speckled granite counters in browns and golds, a bullnose edge, an undermount sink and a fruit bowl

Granite countertops

A natural stone slab, chosen in person, cut to your kitchen and sealed.

What this covers

Granite is quarried stone, so every slab is different and is chosen in person. The fabricator templates the cabinets, cuts the slab to the template with sink and cooktop cutouts, finishes the edge profile, plans seams where they are least visible, and installs the pieces on leveled cabinets with the sink mounted underneath. The stone is sealed at installation and periodically after.

When to call

Questions people ask

Does granite need sealing?

Most granites do, at installation and then every year or two. When water stops beading on the surface it is time.

Will there be seams?

Long or L-shaped counters usually need one or two. The fabricator places them where they are least noticed and matches the pattern across them.

Can I put hot pans on it?

Granite tolerates heat well. Trivets are still a good habit to protect the sealer.
