Hail bruises are small and dark and do not show from the ground. Dented gutters and vents are the clue. An inspection from a staged ladder is the only way to know.
Does hail damage always mean a new roof?
No. Scattered bruises on a sound roof may be repaired. Widespread bruising that has knocked the granules off shortens the roof's life, and replacement is discussed then.
What about my car and the deck?
The company inspects the home. Vehicles are a separate matter. Decks, fences and outdoor furniture are included in the exterior inspection if you ask.
