What this covers

A home office remodel plans a room around how you work: a desk sized and placed for the screens you use, built-in shelving and files, outlets and data where they are needed, lighting that avoids glare, sound control in the walls and door, and a window treatment for video calls. It can be a spare bedroom, a converted closet or part of a larger room.

When to call

  • Working from a kitchen table or a corner of the bedroom.
  • Not enough outlets, poor light, or noise from the rest of the house.

Questions people ask

Where should the desk go?

Facing or beside a window, not with the window directly behind you on camera. The design step tests the layout with your equipment.

How do I make the room quieter?

Insulation in the walls, a solid-core door with seals, and soft finishes make a real difference. Full soundproofing is a bigger job the company can describe.

Can a closet become an office?

A deep closet with the doors removed fits a desk and shelves. Power and a light are added. It is a small job with a big effect.
