What this covers
General pest control deals with the insects that move into homes: ants, cockroaches, spiders, silverfish, crickets, wasps, fleas and similar household pests. It starts with an inspection to identify the pest, find where it nests and see how it gets in. Treatments are applied by a licensed applicator, inside where needed and as a perimeter treatment around the foundation, chosen for the pest and the household. Careful work also deals with what draws pests in, such as gaps around pipes and doors, moisture, and plants or mulch against the siding, and follow-up visits check the result. Termites, rodents and wildlife each have their own service.

Questions people ask
Is general pest control the same as termite treatment?
No. Termites need their own inspection and a treatment around the foundation or with bait stations. General pest control covers ants, roaches, spiders and other household pests.
Do I need to leave the house?
Usually not for routine treatment. The company tells you in advance about any preparation, the timing, and any areas to keep pets and children away from.
Why seal entry points?
Treating pests without closing the gaps they use lets new ones in. Sealing the gaps around pipes, doors and vents makes the treatment last longer.
