What this covers
A pool fence is a safety barrier first and a fence second. Local codes set the rules: a minimum height, usually four feet; picket spacing narrow enough that a small child cannot slip through; no horizontal members that give a foothold; a gap at the bottom small enough to block crawling under; and gates that swing away from the pool, close by themselves and latch out of a child's reach. Aluminum is the usual material, with removable mesh fencing as an option. The installer lays out the enclosure, sets posts in concrete or core-drills them into the pool deck, fits the panels, and hangs and adjusts the self-closing, self-latching gates, then supports the inspection where one is required.
