What this covers
An aluminum fence uses powder-coated posts and factory-assembled panels of slim pickets and horizontal rails. It does not rust, weighs little and keeps the view open, which suits yards, gardens and pool enclosures. The installer sets posts in concrete at the panel spacing, fastens the panels with concealed brackets or screws, racks the panels to follow gentle slopes, and hangs gates with self-closing hinges where a pool is involved. Careful work means panels at a consistent height, pickets plumb, no scratched coating, and corners and ends finished with the right posts rather than improvised cuts.

Questions people ask
Aluminum or wrought iron?
Aluminum is lighter, does not rust and comes in standard panels. Wrought iron is heavier, stronger and can be forged to custom designs but needs periodic paint.
Can an aluminum fence follow a slope?
Most panels rack a few inches per section so pickets stay vertical as the rails tilt with the grade. Steeper grades are stepped.
Does the coating need maintenance?
Powder coating resists chipping and fading. A rinse with a hose a couple of times a year keeps it clean, and scratches can be touched up.
