What this covers
A closet system replaces a single rod and shelf with components that use the full height and width: hanging at two levels, towers with drawers and shelves, shoe storage and baskets. Wire systems are light and open; laminate and wood systems look built in. Components mount to a wall rail or directly to studs, are assembled and leveled, and rods and shelves adjusted to your clothes. It is a day or two of carpentry that changes how a closet works.

Questions people ask
Wire or laminate?
Wire is affordable and ventilated; laminate looks built in and hides contents. Wood is the most furniture-like. Mixing them, such as laminate towers with wire shelves, is common.
Does it attach to the wall?
Yes, into studs or a rail that is screwed into studs. Floor-standing towers still anchor to the wall for safety.
Can it be changed later?
Most systems are adjustable and components can be added or moved.
