What this covers
Hardware is the smallest part of a kitchen and the most handled. Installation sets a consistent position for every pull and knob, drills with a jig so holes are exact, fills and redrills old holes when sizes change, and replaces or adjusts hinges and drawer slides, including upgrading to soft-close. It is a short job on its own and the last step of a refacing, refinishing or painting project.

Questions people ask
Where should pulls go?
On doors, near the corner opposite the hinge; on drawers, centered or on the top rail. A consistent rule across the kitchen matters more than the exact position.
Can my old holes be reused?
If the new hardware has the same spacing, yes. Otherwise the old holes are filled and touched up, which shows least on painted doors.
What is a soft-close hinge?
A hinge with a damper that closes the door quietly from the last inch. Most modern cabinets can be converted.
